AVK Celebrated India’s 71st Republic Day in a grand manner by unfurling the national flag; the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India and thus, turning the nation into a newly formed republic.

Teachers’ Day is celebrated on September 5 every year since 1962 to honor Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan as it is his birth anniversary. He was born in a Telugu-speaking family and received his surname from his forefathers who were from Sarvepalli village in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.
